Blasi Farmhouse, Tarn et Garonne, Midi Pyrenees

Blasi Farmhouse is a stunning property situated in Tarn et Garonne, Midi Pyrenees with a fabulous private heated swimming pool and beautiful views over rolling countryside and vineyards close to the Bastide towns of Lauzerte, Cahors and Agen.

A chef’s dream

Blasi is a ideal for those who enjoy cooking with a very well equipped large farmhouse kitchen, lovely feature range cooker and all the utensils you could need – perfect for creating a fabulous feast with the local produce you can pick up at one of the many local markets. The farmhouse has a light and airy feel with an attractive vaulted ceiling and double French doors leading from the living/dining area out on to a dining terrace with a large wooden table and brick barbecue.

The property can sleep up to 8 people in 4 bedrooms and is suitable for those with limited mobility as 2 of the double bedrooms are on the ground floor. Both of the ground floor bedrooms are fully air conditioned which is ideal for holidays in the hot summer sunshine.

Perfect for nature lovers

Blasi Farmhouse is set in half an acre of beautiful flowering gardens and has breath-taking views over local countryside – there’s always something to sit and watch as the wildlife is so plentiful and interesting. Red Kites fly over the fields next to the house and black kites, hen harriers and lapwings will keep you entertained with their aerobatic displays. Closer to earth, wild boar, deer, badgers and hares are often seen nearby in the fields.

Whilst the property and heated swimming pool are both south facing, you will always be able to find a shady spot to cool down thanks to the many acacia and mulberry trees dotted throughout the grounds.

At Blasi, you will be able to enjoy the night sky as it is the darkest in Western Europe. The summer sky is amazing with its shooting stars, the sky is bright with stars and the Milky Way can be easily seen.

Total privacy for guests

The property is owned by Robert Scott who purchased it back in 2003. He says “We bought this gem of a property because of its amazing location and outstanding views along the valley. Located on the Lot and Tarn and Garonne border it is in a great location for trips out”. Robert and his family do not live on site meaning the property and pool are completely private for guests use, however they are only 20 minutes away should guests need them for anything during their stay.

If you can tear yourself away from the fabulous Blasi Farmhouse there’s plenty to see and do nearby as the local countryside is superb for walking and cycling, with part of the famous pilgrimage route to Santiago de Compostella passing nearby.

A farmers market every day of the week

The Tarn et Garonne is justifiably proud of its farmers markets and you will find a different market taking place every day of the week in the nearby town and villages.

If you fancy venturing slightly further afield, the gorges of Aveyron at St Antonin de Noble Val are only 40 minutes away from Blasi –why not take a picnic and spend a day enjoying the gentle rapids and paddling in the long relaxing stretches of the river?

A week’s stay at Blasi Farmhouse starts from just £1295 for 8 people, for more information or to book visit the advert on our website:  https://www.holidayfrancedirect.co.uk/holiday-rentals/MN003165/index.htm
