Manoir de Trebuchon, Saint-Savin, Vienne region

This month’s property of the month is Manoir de Trebuchon, a beautiful 3 bedroom farmhouse with an additional mezzanine sleeping area, fully-fitted kitchen and large living area. The property sleeps up to 8 people and is situated near Saint-Savin in the Vienne department of Poitou Charentes.

The property is owned by Gillian Goucher who bought Manoir de Trebuchon as a family property, and it has been enjoyed by guests both young and old ever since. Gillian will gladly arrange a welcome meal for visitors staying at the property and guests are also given the opportunity to order a local produce basket containing items that have been carefully handpicked and researched by Gillian and family.

The farmhouse is beautifully set in 32 acres of grounds and has no nearby neighbours, making it the perfect destination for a relaxing break. A unique feature of this property is the beautiful natural oak balcony on the first floor of the property which has recently been completed and extends out over the orchard and meadows, offering guests a haven to relax, read or simply watch the abundance of wildlife that visits the property including deer, red kites and many different species of butterflies!

On-site there is a fabulous private heated swimming pool which is security fenced for your peace of mind. There are several sunbathing areas outside, along with plenty of sunloungers and a large bbq, perfect for soaking up the famous Poitou Charentes sun.

There are a variety of activities available in the local area including horse riding, cycling, fishing, kayaking and walking. However if you fancy venturing further afield during your stay there is plenty to see and do including a visit to nearby village Angles-sur-l’Anglin which has been voted one of “Les Plus Beaux Villages de France”.

For guests travelling with children, Poiters and its famous Futuroscope theme park are only a 35 minute drive away and provide a great day out for all the family.

A one week stay at Manoir de Trebuchon starts from £1800.
