Holidays for all the family – including your dogs!
For many people a four legged friend is very much one of the family – don’t leave them at home, let them join you for a holiday in France everyone will enjoy! We have hundreds of self catering properties all over France that welcome dogs to stay. Just use the filter button and select ‘Pets Welcomed’ to see the full selection, you’ll be spoilt for choice!
Take your dog with you as you explore beautiful countryside, coastline, forests and fields together, and enjoy cosy, comfortable accommodation hosted by people who understand a family holiday just wouldn’t be the same without your pooch. Many hosts are dog owners themselves so they understand that you’ll need a safe, secure garden, and can recommend a preferred local vet. They may also be able to share their favourite dog walk routes and dog-friendly restaurants to visit during your stay.
We’ve chosen five pet-friendly properties to give you an idea of what to expect:
1.The Balcony Studio, Lagrasse, Aude
This studio apartment comes highly recommended and features in the TripAdvisor Hall of Fame! The studio has a private terrace and access to communal gardens, it’s an ideal place to stay for a romantic couples break where your dog can come too. Find out the fascinating Cathar history of the region and go on walks to explore the beautiful medieval villages, the local river beach, the Canal du Midi, Cathar castle ruins and the Mediterranean coast, all within easy reach. The village offers nine restaurants and cafes and the owners can also arrange a private chef so there is no need to be a great cook to enjoy the best French cuisine on this self-catering break!
