Le Clos, Cotes D’Armor, Brittany
Le Clos is a 16th century French farmhouse that’s full of character and charm, yet has a contemporary and luxurious twist.
Luxury for all the family
With a fabulous swimspa and newly renovated fun barn complete with its own bar, Le Clos can cater for small families right up to larger groups looking to share a truly memorable holiday or special event, be that an anniversary, hen party, stag do, birthday or perhaps even a wedding!
The spacious kitchen has all mod cons including a Nespresso coffee-machine and can seat up to 16 people. There is a feature 16th century stone wall with an archway through to the main lounge that has a beautiful working open fire, perfect for a cosy night in on an out of season break.
There is also a second lounge area that can double as a playroom if you have children in your group, complete with a Wii, Playstation 2 and Xbox and also a large selection of toys, books and games for children of all ages.
A fabulous swimspa and luxury fun barn
Outside the fabulous swimspa lights up with colour changing lights for an evening swim and there is a play area with swings, a slide and large 14ft trampoline. The gardens amount to over 2 acres and make for a wonderful playground for both children and adults!
A particularly unique feature of Le Clos is the newly renovated 15th century barn which has been turned into a luxury fun barn, complete with its own bar! This is also a full sized pool table, karaoke machine, darts and a games table. It’s a great place to hold a party or celebration or for simply catching up with friends and family after a busy day exploring!
Perfect for exploring Brittany
If you can tear yourself away from fabulous Le Clos, there’s plenty to see and do nearby including the character filled walled Breton town of Dinan with is quirky cobblestone paved streets and traditional timbered medieval houses. Dinan is just a short 15-20 minute drive from the property along mostly quiet scenic roads to the historical centre.
Another must visit if you are staying in this region of Brittany is Le Mont Saint-Michel, undoubtedly one of France’s most recognisable and notable landmarks. It’s a great place to spend the day enjoying the feeling of going back in time, meandering through the medieval cobbled streets and taking in the wonderful history and ambiance.
If you enjoy a more active holiday, be sure to visit Jugon les Lacs where you can walk, cycle and fish or perhaps enjoy swimming at the man-made beach there.
A home from home for families
The property is owned by Riel Piper who purchased Le Clos in 2015. After spending many wonderful holidays in Brittany with her young children, Riel has learnt what is important in creating the perfect holiday home from home experience for families. Riel has been also been able to put her skills as an interior designer into good use and is responsible for the stunning décor you see at Le Clos.
