Le Grenier, Gard, Languedoc Roussillon
Le Grenier is a stunning first floor apartment for 4 people in Gard, Languedoc Roussillon with stunning views over rolling countryside. The property is centrally located to explore the local area and is within easy walking distance of Lussan, one of the Plus Beaux Villages de France with restaurants and shops.
The property has an open plan kitchen diner and a fabulous mezzanine living area with lovely views over the pool, garden and countryside beyond. There are 2 good sized double bedrooms, both with doors out on to the terrace.
On-site wine tasting evenings
Wine tasting evenings can be arranged on request in the spectacular Roman style inner courtyard and on Sunday evenings there is a relaxed and informal welcome supper for guests, using locally sourced produce wherever possible.
With 8 acres of grounds on-site there’s plenty of space for everyone including a walled pool area with an 11 metre heated swimming pool and a boules garden complete with its own boulodrome for guests to enjoy a game.
You’ll also find a shady willow garden overlooking a pretty pond stocked with colourful koi carp with plenty of seating to enjoy your morning coffee or evening aperitif.
Close to the world famous Pont du Gard
There’s plenty to see and do nearby including the Pont du Gard, a UNESCO World Heritage Site and one of the wonders of France! You can walk there from a local village and enjoy a spot of lunch or cool off with a swim in the Gardon River.
Walk to the beautiful village of Lussan and try one of its fabulous restaurants, or head further afield to the town of Uzés and visit its famous Saturday market and pick up some bargains to take home as a souvenir of your trip.
Guests who prefer a more active holiday are also well catered for here with the spectacular Cevennes Mountains nearby for hiking or cycling through beautiful rugged countryside.
Perfect for birthdays and anniversaries
Le Grenier is owned by Kate Langley who purchased the property with her husband Graham in 2017. They love the location of the property as it’s in the middle of everything you could possibly want- culture, wine, walks, cycling, Roman antiquities and a choice of amazing cities.
Kate and Graham pride themselves in looking after their guests and provide a long list of local cycle paths, walks and the best places to stop for lunch too! They also love helping guests with planning special events for birthdays or anniversaries and giving their guests a holiday to remember.
