Euro 2016 – Where to Stay to see the Games (and how to make it a holiday the whole family will enjoy!)
England and Wales are both through to the Euro 2016 football being hosted in France next summer!

The host stadiums have been announced and we have self catering holiday homes close to most of the key venues. Travel with Brittany Ferries and take a channel crossing from Plymouth, Poole or Portsmouth for a convenient route with less time on the road. Bordeaux
Stade de Bordeaux is hosting four group stage matches between June 11th and June 21st and a quarter final match on 2nd July.
This is a wonderful area of France full of culture and there are plenty of things to do while you’re waiting for match day. Visit the beaches on the coast or explore the countryside walking, cycling, kayaking, playing golf or horse riding. Take a tour of a local vineyard, discover the historic towns and cities and try delicious regional food and French classics at the many restaurants, markets and cafes.
Ideal for large groups:

Lens and Lille
Lens and Lille are in North Eastern France and are less than 40km apart meaning a central base could allow you to easily reach matches at both host stadiums. The two cities will see nine matches in the first stages of the 2016 competition between 11th and 26th June and there is a quarter final at Lille on 1st July.
Stay near the coast to enjoy the sandy beach resorts and discover the historical sites and monuments from the First and Second World Wars. Explore the beautiful countryside on foot or by bike or simply relax at a pavement café in one of the many picturesque towns and villages enjoying a coffee, a pastry or a glass of local beer or cider.
Where to stay:
DP003965 – A three bedroom house an hours drive from Lens and 1.5hrs from Lille. It sleeps up to eight people and is ideal for families, with a garden play area and the sandy beach resorts of Le Touquet and Berck within easy reach.
DP000860 – This lovely 3 bed villa close to the sandy beaches of Le Touquet-Paris-Plage is around two hours drive from Lens or Lille and makes a great base for a family seaside holiday.
DP003498 – A two bed country cottage around an hour from Lens and 1.5hours from Lille. The perfect base to explore the Picardy region with its beaches, countryside and military history.
Saint Etienne and Lyon
In Eastern France the two host stadiums are at Saint Etienne and Lyon. Lyon is particularly known for its rich cultural heritage and there are plenty of UNESCO sites to explore between matches! There are nine matches being held in these two cities between 13th and 26th of June 2016.
Where to stay:
OH002802 – Two gites for rent each sleeping up to four people. The gites are in a pretty medieval village in a beautiful rural area approximately an hour’s drive from Sainte Etienne or 1.5 hours from Lyon.
GS004009 – A cottage for two close to the Beaujolas vineyards for a romantic break with football thrown in! You can reach Lyon in an hour by car taking in the gorgeous countryside and historic chateaux on the way.
HH003809 – A villa that sleeps up to six in a mountain village close to the Swiss border surrounded by stunning views. Perfect for an active holiday biking, hiking and exploring. Lyon is 1.5 hours drive and Saint Etienne is around 2 hours away.
HS003667 – A gite for eight in the beautiful alpine setting of the Chartreuse Natural Park less than 1.5 hours drive from Lyon.
Marseille and Nice
In the South of France stadiums at Nice and Marseille will be hosting ten games in total including a quarter final and semi final match being held at the Marseille ground. Enjoy the sunshine at the coastal resorts on the Mediterranean Sea with a football focussed break that’s a real treat!

Toulouse
There will be four games hosted at the Toulouse stadium between 13th and 26th June. This vibrant city is a wonderful place to visit and you’ll find plenty of culture, history and entertainment to enjoy between match days!
Ideal for groups:
